1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using any service provided by Kobahost Web Services, a trading name of DexGlobal Digital Nigeria Ltd, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the client) and Kobahost Web Services. By signing up for any hosting plan, purchasing a domain, or using our client portal at billing.kobahost.com, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.
These Terms were last updated on 30 May 2025 and apply to all services provided by Kobahost Web Services from that date forward.
2. Our Services
Kobahost Web Services provides web hosting, domain registration, and related digital infrastructure services to individuals, businesses, and organisations. Our current service offerings include:
- Shared Web Hosting (Starter, Business, and Professional plans)
- Managed WordPress Hosting (WP Starter, WP Business, and WP Pro plans)
- WooCommerce Hosting (Store Starter, Store Business, and Store Enterprise plans)
- Domain registration and renewal via third-party registrars
- SSL certificate provisioning
- Website migration services
- Technical support via WhatsApp and email
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice to clients. We will notify clients of significant changes to service offerings via email at least 30 days in advance where possible.
3. Your Account
3.1 Registration
To use our services, you must register an account on our client portal. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information.
3.2 Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at support@kobahost.com or via WhatsApp if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account. Kobahost will not be liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised account access where you have failed to maintain reasonable security practices.
3.3 Account Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to register an account and enter into this agreement. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
4. Payment & Billing
4.1 Pricing
All prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (NGN) or British Pounds Sterling (GBP) as applicable. Prices are exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice to existing clients.
4.2 Payment Methods
We accept payment via Paystack (card and bank transfer in Naira), Stripe (card payments in GBP and USD), and direct bank transfer. Payment terms are due on the invoice date.
4.3 Renewal
All hosting plans renew automatically on their renewal date. You will receive an invoice and renewal reminder at least 7 days before renewal. It is your responsibility to ensure your payment details are current to avoid service interruption.
4.4 Late Payment & Suspension
If payment is not received within 7 days of the invoice due date, we reserve the right to suspend your hosting account. If payment is not received within 30 days of suspension, we reserve the right to terminate your account and permanently delete associated data. We will provide reasonable notice before each step.
4.5 Refunds
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all new hosting plans. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the initial payment. Domain registrations and renewal fees are non-refundable. After the 7-day period, hosting fees are non-refundable.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes. You must not use our services to host, distribute, or facilitate:
- Illegal content under Nigerian law or the laws of the country where your end users are located
- Spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk email campaigns
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, or any malicious code
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Content that is defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory
- Cryptocurrency mining operations without prior written approval
- Proxy or VPN services that obscure malicious activity
- Any activity that places excessive load on shared server resources

6. Suspension & Termination
6.1 By Kobahost
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or any applicable law. We may also suspend accounts that pose a security risk to our infrastructure or other clients.
6.2 By You
You may cancel your account at any time by submitting a cancellation request through your client portal or contacting us at support@kobahost.com. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for unused time on monthly or annual plans after the 7-day guarantee period.
6.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your access to all services will cease. We will retain your data for 14 days following termination to allow you to request a backup. After 14 days, all data associated with your account may be permanently deleted.
7. Data & Backups
While we provide automated backups on applicable plans as described in our service specifications, you are ultimately responsible for maintaining your own backups. Kobahost's backups are provided as a convenience and are not a substitute for your own backup strategy.
We will make reasonable efforts to restore data from backups in the event of a server failure, but we cannot guarantee complete data recovery in all circumstances. We strongly recommend downloading regular backups of your website files and database independently.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kobahost Web Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or business interruption.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 3 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Important: We strongly recommend keeping independent backups of all your data and having business continuity plans that do not solely rely on your hosting provider.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email to your registered address at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of our services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Oyo State, Nigeria.
